Cath lab

The heart of the Invasive Cardiology is the highly sophistical cath lab, where a collaborating team of experts with an excellent scientific background and hightec medicine offers a very humane treatment of patients with much empathy.

Chronic

It was in March 2000, when the first private cathlab in Austria situated in a private pratice started to operate. Since that time more than 3000 cath procedures have been done. In almost 1000 cases an intervention like balloon angioplasty, stent implantation or aternative technologies like cutting balloon, drug eluting balloon, intravascular ultrasound etc. has been performed.

Not only coronary arteries were and are shown and treated but also arteries supplying the brain (carotid artery), arms (subclavian artery), kidney s(renal artery) und the pelvis or legs (iliac or femoral artery).

Besides the mentioned invasive procedures all non-invasive cardiological techniques like ECG at rest or as a stress test, 24 hour ECG, ultrasound of  the heart, abdomen or peripheral vessels and 24 hour bloodpressure measurement are offered for inhospital or outpatient means.

Due to my position as Visiting Doctor in the Privatklinik Wehrle all internal and cardiological problems for inhospital patients can be adressed.
